Art Asia exists to promote and develop high quality performance of South Asian arts, music and dance enhanced by educational activities.
Activities include:
- Concerts, dance and drama performances by local, national and international artists.
- Education services offering workshops, demonstrations, tutoring and performances.
- Music and dance classes, visual arts workshops.
- Well-equipped, sound-proofed music studio available for rehearsal or recording.
- Free information and advice service.
There are two sites; Offices at 18, Augustine Rd. Southampton and studio facilities at Unit 7 Radcliffe Court, Radcliffe Road, Southampton.
Performances arranged by Art Asia take place at a number of Southampton venues including the Turner Sims Concert Hall, the Nuffield Theatre and open air sites such as the Art Asia Mela Festival in Hoglands Park.
Admission
Is variable according to the venue’s pricing structure.
Membership is available at £5.00 single and £10.00 family providing additional benefits and four newsletters a year.
Art Asia is supported by Southampton City Council and the Arts Council England.

Office opening hours Monday to Friday: 10.00am-1.00pm
and 2.00pm-5.00pm.
Studio open at variable times according to the workshops/rehearsal schedule.
Location
Art Asia is situated close to the Southampton football ground in Northam, Southampton. The office and studio are 50 yards apart.

Accessible Parking 
For the office/workshop, a disabled parking bay is situated outside the Arts Asia office. Free visitor parking is available on street. Parking is restricted to one hour on days of football matches only. For disabled parking at other venues please contact those organisations.
Public Transport
For Art Asia offices and workshops, a frequent bus service from the city centre to Northam, stops nearby.

The Art Asia Buildings
The Art Asia offices are on the first floor. A bell outside will summon attention and meetings can be held in the downstairs facilities run by the Deaf Association.
The workshops have a removable ramp for the low front step and a disabled toilet. There is wheelchair access to the recording studio and rehearsal room. The upper floor workshops are not accessible for wheelchair-users. Stairs have a handrail on one side.
Orientation tours are available on request.

Language Interpreted Events
Most workshops are conducted by speakers of South Asian languages and so accommodate both English-speaking and especially Hindi / Urdu speaking visitors.
Group Visits
Art Asia is happy to arrange group visits.
Art Asia also offers educational workshops to schools and will always attempt to enable all to enjoy the experience fully.
