International ARTSFEST

Friday 10th March 2006

International ArtsFest takes place on Friday 10th March and sees the University celebrating the diverse international nature of its arts venues on campus. This is a unique opportunity for you to experience something new and exciting, right at the heart of the University.

You can participate in an Abstract Painting Workshop at the John Hansard Gallery, creating your own masterpiece to take home, as well as Asian Drumming Workshops at the Turner Sims Concert Hall, both for free. There will also be a special free lunchtime reception at the Winchester Gallery, to celebrate their fantastic new exhibition of Taiwanese performance artist Tsui Kuan-Yu. And you can attend a current production of Anton Chekhov’s Three Sisters, set in Trinidad, at the Nuffield Theatre for just £1.

During the day a free bus service will operate between the John Hansard and The Winchester Gallery, at the following times:
11.30am: John Hansard Gallery – The Winchester Gallery (for 12pm Reception)
1.30pm: The Winchester Gallery - John Hansard Gallery (for 2pm painting workshop)
3.30pm: John Hansard Gallery – The Winchester Gallery
